Our client is seeking an experienced Tech-Functional Opentext Consultant to work remotely from Spain or Portugal under the following project conditions:
Role: Tech-Functional OpenText Consultant
Location: Remote within Spain or Portugal
Start: ASAP
Duration: 6 months contract
Role Summary
We are seeking a Techno-Functional Consultant for OpenText Extended ECM (xECM) to support the design, configuration, and delivery of content and records management solutions integrated with core business applications (SAP, Salesforce, or SuccessFactors). The role bridges business requirements and technical configuration, gathering document and records management needs from business stakeholders while directly configuring xECM workspaces, document types, classifications, and integration points. The ideal candidate is comfortable running requirement workshops and fit-gap sessions as well as performing hands-on system configuration and troubleshooting.
Required Skills
6+ years of experience implementing or supporting OpenText Content Suite Platform and Extended ECM (xECM) solutions.
Hands-on configuration experience with xECM workspaces, document types, classifications, categories, and templates.
Experience with at least one xECM business application integration (SAP, Salesforce, or SuccessFactors), including metadata mapping and object linking.
Solid understanding of records management principles, retention and disposition policies, and compliance-driven content lifecycle requirements.
Proven client-facing experience, including leading workshops, fit-gap analysis, and managing business stakeholder relationships directly.
Working technical knowledge of Content Server architecture sufficient to support configuration, troubleshooting, and collaboration with technical/development teams.
Strong requirements documentation and process-mapping skills (BRD, functional specs, configuration guides).
Experience supporting UAT cycles, defect management, and go-live readiness activities.
Should Have
Prior end-to-end implementation experience with OpenText xECM, from discovery/design through go-live, rather than support-only exposure.
Preferred Experience
OpenText certifications related to Content Suite Platform, Extended ECM, or specific business-application integrations (SAP/Salesforce/SuccessFactors).
Familiarity with OpenText Archive Center, Business Workspace configuration, and workflow/BPM capabilities within Content Server.
Experience in regulated industries (life sciences, financial services, utilities) where records management and compliance are critical drivers.
Prior experience in a nearshore/delivery-center model supporting multi-market client engagements.
