SAP SD Team Lead & Principal Consultant

Location: Noida (100% On-Site at Customer Office | 5 Days a Week)

Department: Enterprise Applications / SAP Application Management Services (AMS)

Employment Type: Full-Time

We are looking for a high-caliber SAP SD Lead Consultant who will operate as the first point of escalation and the Team Lead for our SAP AMS team. Stationed directly at our customer’s Noida office, you will bridge the gap between business leadership, a massive sales workforce, and the technical support team to ensure our high-volume order-to-cash (OTC) machine never stops.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Governance: Act as the hands-on Team Lead for the SAP AMS team. Mentor junior consultants, manage ticket allocations, and ensure the team meets strict SLAs.

First Point of Escalation: Serve as the trusted, primary point of contact for business stakeholders and the 1,000+ sales user community when critical system blockages occur.

Custom OTC Management: Take complete ownership of our highly customized SD landscape (including custom pricing engines, complex discount structures, custom Z-tables, and heavily modified billing/delivery logic).

Critical Operations & Closures: Lead the system stability front. This role requires on-call availability for Priority 1 (P1) incidents and dedicated hands-on ownership during Month-End and Year-End commercial closures.

Technical Architecture & Debugging: Work side-by-side with ABAP teams to translate complex business demands into technical specifications. You must be comfortable reading and debugging ABAP code to trace issues in our custom logic.

Stakeholder Alignment: Manage expectations and communicate complex technical solutions or workarounds simply and effectively to high-level business executives.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical & Scale Expertise:

Experience: 6-10 years of core SAP SD experience, with at least 2 years in a Team Lead or Lead Consultant capacity.

Scale Exposure: Proven experience supporting a massive user base (ideally 500+ users) in a fast-paced manufacturing, retail, or high-volume distribution industry.

Customization Mastery: Expert knowledge of the Order-to-Cash cycle, but specifically within a highly customized environment (Z-transactions, complex user exits, BAdIs, and extensive custom interfaces).

Advanced SD Capabilities: Deep understanding of custom Pricing Procedures, Credit Management, Availability Check (ATP), and advanced tax configurations.

Leadership & Soft Skills:

Command Presence: Comfortable acting as the first line of defense during high-stress escalations.

People Management: Natural ability to lead, delegate, and maintain team morale under tight deadlines.

Crisis Management: Calm under pressure, especially during high-stakes month-end or year-end closure windows.

Work Conditions & Requirements

Work Model: Mandatory 5 days a week work-from-office at the customer’s Noida location. Must be able to collaborate face-to-face with local teams daily.

Operational Commitment: On-call availability for P1 incidents and flexible/extended working hours during crucial financial or commercial closure periods.
