Role Overview
We are looking for a Java Integration Developer to support the analysis, development, and evolution of integration solutions.
Until the end of 2026, the professional will primarily work in a project environment, focused on understanding existing MuleSoft integrations and supporting the development, migration, and implementation of solutions using Java and Apache Camel.
Starting in 2027, the role will transition into an Application Support / Maintenance (AMS) model, taking responsibility for the ongoing support, maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of the implemented integrations.
Strong Java knowledge is the primary requirement, enabling the professional to read and understand existing Mule code and develop or rewrite integrations using Apache Camel. Previous experience with MuleSoft or Apache Camel will be considered a strong advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Project Phase – Until December 2026
• Analyze and understand existing MuleSoft/Mule code and integration flows.
• Develop and implement integrations using Java and Apache Camel.
• Support the migration or rewriting of MuleSoft integrations into Camel-based solutions.
• Develop and consume REST/SOAP APIs.
• Perform testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and knowledge transfer.
• Support the transition of the solution into the support model.
AMS / Support Phase – Starting in 2027
• Provide ongoing application and integration support.
• Troubleshoot incidents and perform root cause analysis.
• Maintain and enhance existing Java/Camel integrations.
• Monitor integration flows and resolve production issues.
• Support bug fixes, minor enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain technical documentation and operational knowledge.
Ideal profile: a strong Java Integration Developer capable of supporting the project/migration phase through the end of 2026 and subsequently transitioning into the AMS/support operation from 2027 onward.
