About the role

Our client is evolving its DataHub from a traditional BI architecture (Talend ETL, centralized DWH) towards a target Data Lakehouse architecture.

This transformation includes the migration of existing data flows, the implementation of new data layers (Landing Zone, Data Lake, Datamarts, Data Products), and the decommissioning of Talend. The target architecture is built around Snowflake as the core Lakehouse platform, with AWS as the foundation for integration and data collection.

You will work under the responsibility of the Technical Team Manager and in support of the Tech Lead. The scope covers the Lakehouse migration project, enhancement projects and requests across the existing data environment, as well as production incident management and Run support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Migrate Talend ETL processes to native Snowflake ELT patterns, including the analysis, rewriting, documentation, testing and stabilization of existing Talend jobs in preparation for their decommissioning.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of the new Lakehouse architecture, including Landing, Lakehouse and Data Products layers, and the implementation of ELT patterns.
  • Manage data ingestion and transformation using Snowpipe (batch / real-time), Snowflake SQL and Snowpark (Python).
  • Apply security and governance policies, including RBAC strategy, role and access management, tagging and masking.
  • Contribute to industrialization and Run activities, including monitoring, incident recovery, cost optimization, automation and data CI/CD.
  • Take ownership of enhancement projects and requests, including scoping, estimation, development, testing and production deployment.
  • Handle production incidents, including root cause analysis and implementation of sustainable fixes.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong expertise in Snowflake, including advanced SQL, Snowpipe, Snowpark, RBAC, monitoring and Python — mandatory.
  • Proven experience with Terraform — mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of Talend, or an equivalent ETL solution, in an ETL-to-ELT migration context and for enhancement/corrective maintenance — mandatory.
  • Knowledge of AWS (Lambda, serverless services), Power BI, and Data Lakehouse / Data Mesh architectures — appreciated.

Expected Deliverables

  • Inventory and documentation of the Talend jobs being migrated.
  • Industrialized Snowflake pipelines resulting from the migration.
  • Documented Lakehouse models.
  • Contribution to the Talend migration and decommissioning strategy.
  • Development work for enhancement projects and requests.
  • Monitoring and documentation of handled incidents.
