Context

The client is looking for an experienced Frontend Software Engineer to work on the development of an application embedded with AI capabilities.

The successful candidate will have strong frontend engineering expertise combined with previous experience developing software applications deployed on Microsoft Azure Cloud.

The role will focus on building scalable, maintainable and high-performance user interfaces while working closely with UX/UI, Product and Backend Engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain robust, scalable and high-performance frontend applications using cloud components.
• Develop applications designed to be deployed and operated within a Microsoft Azure Cloud environment.
• Develop reusable UI components and scalable frontend architecture, including design systems, state management, routing and bundling.
• Write clean, efficient and well-documented code following engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, UX/UI Designers and other Engineers to define, design and deliver new features.
• Debug and resolve technical issues, ensuring optimal application performance and reliability.
• Contribute to frontend architecture discussions and technical decisions.
• Participate in code reviews, technical documentation and continuous improvement of engineering standards.
• Apply DevSecOps practices, including dependency management, vulnerability scanning, secrets handling and secure coding.
• Establish frontend observability through real-user monitoring, client-side logging, error tracking and performance monitoring.
• Identify and implement opportunities for automation and process improvements.

Required Experience & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proven experience developing software applications deployed on Microsoft Azure Cloud.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript / TypeScript.
• Strong experience with at least one modern frontend framework: React, Angular or Vue.
• Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3 and browser APIs.
• Knowledge of frontend security principles including XSS and CSP.
• Understanding of web accessibility standards, particularly WCAG.
• Strong understanding of frontend architecture, reusable components and design systems.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms and software design principles.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases such as MSSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra or Cosmos DB.
• Experience with version control systems such as GitHub or GitLab.
• Experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and GitHub Actions/workflows.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Advanced Frontend & Design Skills

• Proficiency with design tokens and auto-layout concepts.
• Strong command of modern CSS architecture, including CSS Modules and type-safe CSS approaches.
• Ability to take a single design specification and implement it consistently across different frontend stacks.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with UX/UI Designers and translate designs into scalable production-ready interfaces.

AI-Assisted Development

• Proficiency with Agentic IDEs.
• Experience working with “Agent in the Loop” development workflows.
