This role owns end-to-end engagements — from strategy formulation through execution and operational support — for clients across the mobility and advanced manufacturing sectors, at Manager level for experienced consulting hires or Senior Consultant level for strong industry hires new to consulting. Success means building trusted, long-term client relationships while leading project teams through complex, cross-border transformation programs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

•    Lead strategy-to-execution consulting engagements for automotive OEMs, suppliers, and B2B manufacturers navigating the EV shift, carbon neutrality, and new-entrant market dynamics

•    Drive DX and CX transformation programs — from strategy formulation through business-process redesign and digital platform implementation

•    Own client relationships and business development, shaping proposals and growing accounts across the Advanced Manufacturing and Mobility sectors

•    Lead cross-border projects spanning M&A, carve-outs, and global system rollout & in initiatives

•    Manage mid-to-large scale project teams, mentoring consultants drawn from varied backgrounds (manufacturer engineering/planning, IT-vendor consulting, pre-sales)

•    Deliver high-quality, client-ready materials (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) to tight timelines across recent mandates such as mobility market growth studies, car-subscription market-entry strategy, auto-parts business planning, DX strategy for equipment manufacturers, and new-business incubation for heavy industry

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

•    Experienced track (Manager level or above, Senior Consultant possible depending on background): PM/PMO project management experience, or industry reform / system-implementation project experience in the target industry

•    Experienced track: proven proposal / business-development activity and client-relationship building within the automotive or manufacturing sectors

•    Experienced track: global project experience — rollout & in, M&A deal support, or other cross-border engagements

•    New-to-consulting track (Senior Consultant level, Manager+ possible depending on background): 5+ years of industry or business experience, including new-business planning, DX promotion, business-process reform/system implementation, project management, or overseas business/governance experience

•    Japanese: native level required (non-native candidates must have business-level Japanese and English)

•    English: business level or above

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

•    Background in manufacturer engineering or corporate planning functions, or IT-vendor consulting/pre-sales — the team draws talent from diverse functional backgrounds

•    Experience with cross-border M&A, carve-out, or core-system rollout & in projects

•    Track record of building deep, trusted relationships within the automotive or manufacturing client base

•    Interest in progressing toward a senior, business-development-focused title through client-facing sales activity
