Tell us a little bit about yourself.

“I have over 20 years of experience as a business systems consultant, specializing in helping organizations optimize their processes and implement effective solutions to drive growth. My expertise spans ERP systems like NetSuite, project management, and aligning technology with business goals.

Over the years, I’ve worked across diverse industries, managing end-to-end implementations, solving complex challenges, and empowering teams through the strategic use of technology. I’m passionate about delivering value, building strong client relationships, and staying ahead of industry trends to provide innovative solutions.”

Tell us about your most recent K2 project.

“In my most recent NetSuite implementation project, I worked with a customer to streamline their operations and improve visibility across departments. My role involved gathering business requirements, configuring NetSuite modules, managing data migration, and ensuring a smooth go-live process.

The project resulted in increased efficiency, real-time reporting capabilities, and enhanced scalability, empowering the client to manage their growth effectively. It was rewarding to see how the solution transformed their day-to-day operations.”

What do you enjoy most about your job?

“As a functional/technical project manager consultant for NetSuite, one of the most enjoyable aspects of my role is the ability to solve complex business challenges by tailoring solutions to meet a company’s unique needs.

What I enjoy most about my job is collaborating with stakeholders at different levels to understand their pain points and deliver solutions that make their work more efficient. This fosters strong professional relationships. Additionally, empowering and training users, and seeing them become confident in managing their operations within NetSuite, is a highly rewarding aspect of the job.”

How do you think AI will impact your field over the next couple of years?

“AI will enhance my field by improving efficiency, decision-making, and user experience. In ERP systems like NetSuite, AI-driven analytics, predictive forecasting, and automation will reduce manual effort and provide deeper insights.

In project management, AI will optimize resource allocation, track progress, and predict risks, enabling a stronger focus on strategy. While AI won’t replace human expertise, it will complement it, creating opportunities to deliver more value to clients.”

What advice would you give to someone who is starting out as a freelance IT consultant?

“My advice for someone starting out as a freelance IT consultant is to focus on three key areas: specialization, networking, and communication.

First, identify your niche or area of expertise—clients value deep knowledge in specific tools or systems. Second, build and leverage your professional network; referrals and relationships are crucial for securing projects. Finally, communicate clearly and consistently, setting realistic expectations with clients and delivering on promises.

Strong project management skills and continuous learning are also essential to staying relevant and competitive in this fast-evolving industry.”
