Each year, K2 attends Salesforce’s annual event, Dreamforce, a fantastic opportunity to speak to Salesforce consultants and customers we work with as well as networking and meeting new customers looking to implement Salesforce for their business.
The event, one of the most anticipated in the IT industry annual event calendar, brings San Francisco to a standstill each year, closing-off streets around the Moscone Center in Downtown and filling up every hotel room in the city as visitors flock to the city to hear about the latest software releases, listen to inspiring keynotes from tech thought leaders and learn what’s new in cloud software innovation. With many pop-up event spaces throughout the city centre, there were plenty of opportunities for visitors to absorb the Salesforce ‘Ohana’ family culture.
Here is a summary of what’s to come from Salesforce over the next year, as revealed in CEO Marc Benioff’s Keynote speech:
1.The growth of the Salesforce ecosystem will create 3.3m new jobs – Salesforce is in the early stages of massive growth in economic opportunity driven by the cloud and predicts that by 2022, the Salesforce ecosystem will create 3.3 million jobs, drive $859 billion in GDP impact, and deliver $1.8 billion in social impact. This year’s Dreamforce focused on ‘Trailblazers’ – people transforming customer experience and growing their careers with Salesforce. The Trailblazer community is also the new name for Salesforce’s educational platform where budding Salesforce Administrators, Developers and Marketing experts etc can learn all the skills they need to help develop their careers.
Two of the Top 10 IT jobs currently in demand are Salesforce Developers and Administrators and with more and more customers adopting Salesforce, demand for talent is outstripping supply. K2’s understanding of this market is why we not only offer Salesforce recruiting and staffing services but also provide courses to train the next generation of Salesforce specialists through K2 University, our unique learning mix of classroom and virtual instructor-led courses and self-guided Trailhead learning are tailored to participants earning all-important Salesforce certifications.
2. Finding opportunity in the 4th Industrial Revolution – Benioff highlighted that people shouldn’t be concerned about the current global technological changes but instead rise to the challenge, saying “It will be Trailblazers who drive customer success in the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and that Salesforce aims to empower people with new skills and technologies needed to thrive in this new era.” The Fourth Industrial Revolution brings unprecedented change to our lives, but it also brings unprecedented opportunity for growth and deeper customer connections.
3. A smarter, more personalized Salesforce dashboard – The new Salesforce dashboard is set to offer more personalization tools so that businesses can truly customise the CRM to suit their business needs. Through the new tools; mySalesforce, myLightning, myTrailhead, myEinstein and myIoT, Salesforce will make it easier for customers to provide the information that matters most to their employees, partners and customers.
4. Deeper integration of Salesforce Einstein – Since it’s launch one year ago, Einstein, Salesforce’s Artificial Intelligence tool, has been integrated further into the CRM platform. Here are just some of the new Einstein features that are helping deliver better sales solutions for customers:
Einstein Answers will automatically deliver answers to common questions in real time. With the power of Einstein and your data in Salesforce, businesses can answer every customer question faster and more accurately.
Einstein Forecasts will enable sales teams to sell smarter and faster by centralizing customer information, logging customer interactions, and automating sales tasks.
Einstein Bots will be able to chat directly with your customers on your agent’s behalf to help provide a more consistent and convenient service.
5. Salesforce’s new global strategic partnership with Google – One of the biggest announcements of the event, the new partnership with Google will enable smarter, more connected experiences for businesses and their customers by integrating G Suite by Google Cloud and Google Analytics 360 more closely with Salesforce. The integration will enable users to gain powerful insights from Salesforce directly within Google’s Productivity Platform.
With all these new developments, there’s a lot to be done to help Salesforce customers realise the benefits of these new features throughout the coming year. K2 is excited to be a part of Salesforce’s phenomenal growth and we hope you are too!
