In this blog series, we place the spotlight on K2 employees across the company from management and recruiters to the back office support teams.
This week we talked to Christopher Neudl, a Recruiter and Team Lead at K2’s office in São Paulo.
Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?
I am a 28 year old marketing graduate with an MBA in Business Management and a degree in Coaching. I started my career with K2 in March 2015.
My passion is people and sales. I come from a humble family, in my childhood I went through some hard times, but this never discouraged me. I always had a « BIG DREAM », because of that, since I was a child I found opportunities in sales.
When I was 13 years old I learned how to make handmade soap and started selling it in my neighbourhood. But this was just the beginning, I’ve sold magazines at the subway, worked as a door-to-door salesman, selling perfume, clothes, nutritional supplements, basically anything that could be sold!
At 19 years old I started my first full-time sales position for a huge automobile dealer specializing in parts for trucks and tractors, where I stood out as the top seller for two years. After that, I started selling luxury cars.t the age of 22 I travelled to San Diego on a student exchange program. When I got back, I joined the headhunting and recruitment industry gaining experience at two other companies prior to starting at K2. Today I am very happy with the opportunities I have had, I focus on continually developing myself and giving my best in everything I do!
What do you do when you arrive at the office in the morning and how do you prepare for the day?
I usually plan my day the night before. In the morning, I go to the gym and after that, I can start my day. My routine is to first visit active customers, prospect, new partners, then follow up on the positions I am responsible for and provide ongoing support and develop my recruiters in what they may need.
I currently lead a team of three recruiters, training them to give the best shot in all situations and grasp the opportunities given to them.
I love working at K2, I have learned a lot in these 2 and a half years. The partnerships we have is unmatched by any other company I have worked for, and the culture of K2 is really great, at K2 we are a family.
What are some of your daily highlights, what do you like most in your day?
Like any good salesman, I like to be recognised, close deals and always looking forward to the next level. What gives me the most pleasure is bringing in a new customer and closing the first deal on the account.
How do you end your work at the end of the day? What do you usually do after you leave the office?
After leaving the office, I usually go home listening to music or listen to the news. To relax I usually read books, watch movies and I like to spend quality time with my wife every day and on Fridays, we aim to go out for dinner.
What is the most important thing you’ve learned working on K2?
First thing: that nothing is impossible! The company is 100% meritocracy, if you give your best and achieve good results, the opportunities to achieve your dreams will come.
As I mentioned before, at K2 we are a family and today I can say that I have good friends, I learn new things every day and I can count on them for almost anything. I am very grateful and happy to work in this great company.
