This week we talked to Clement Crubleau, Operations Manager at K2’s Head office in London.






Can you tell us a bit about yourself?

I recently celebrated my 5th year anniversary at our 2016 European Christmas party in London having joined K2 back in 2011.

In my last role I was working between London and Paris in the recruitment industry and believe it or not, I started almost 10 years ago as an SAP Recruiter. Back then I was always spending a lot of time on contract negotiations, and having a close look at my consultants financial issues. I guess this where it all started, and K2 gave me the opportunity to emancipate myself in those areas that I was interested in.

My role at K2 has evolved a lot over the years, I first joined as Compliance Support then moved on to Sales Operations and then became Operations Manager three years ago, leading a team of six people. To sum-up quickly, I’m responsible for all of the money that goes out for the services of our consultants and for the commissions of our internal associates. This includes the billing of almost 500 consultants, reconciling monthly activities, and reporting etc.


What do you do when you arrive at the office in morning and how do you set yourself up for the day?

The first thing I do is get a coffee from the K2 coffeeshop next to the office but I’m usually full of energy anyway by the time I start working because I either cycle, run or swim for one hour before getting into the office.
To everyone reading this I would highly recommend you give this a try at least once, you’ll be surprised to see how it can change your mood and help you start your day in the best possible manner!


What are some of your daily highlights, what do you enjoy most in your day?

I love being the bridge between our internal associates, consultants and internal teams at K2. Within one hour of starting my day a single internal associate request can get me involved with the Sales, Accounts, Credit Control, Compliance and K2 Konnect teams.
Knowing every single aspect of the company is really exciting and helps me to get a full understanding of how the company works, and because of this I can also respond better to all sorts of queries. Working at K2 gives me the opportunity to add many different strings to my bow!

How do you wrap up your work at the end of the day? 

After work I love doing some more sport if I’ve skipped a morning session, this helps me to not to feel guilty when I catch up with friends for a well-deserved beer.


What’s the most important thing you’ve learnt working at K2?

It sounds so cliché but I learn everyday at K2, I really do! I like that within my team we can share skills and knowledge and learn from each other. If I had to pick the single most important thing that I’ve learnt it would be that everything is possible at K2 so long as you believe in yourself and in the company.
