Every month we recognise a K2 consultant who has received outstanding client feedback on their recent project. This month the K2 Consultant of the Month is Juan Carlos Gonzalez Zepeda, a Senior SAP ABAP Consultant based in Mexico for his project for SAP Mexico. ¡Felicitaciones Juan!

Read our interview with Juan Carlos below.

Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?

I am a professional who focuses all my strengths and work on improving my areas of opportunity, breaking paradigms. In summary, I like to put effort in everything I do.

What was your most recent K2 project?

SAP ABAP enhancements in the last part of the project also in the SAP Ariba implementation and SuccessFactors in my current project with Banorte.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

I’m passionate about information systems and I like discovering the issues in the workflow of information to give them the solution from root. That is to say visualize the entire forest to fertilize and strengthen the weak trees.

Which technical development do you think will have the biggest impact on your field over the next few years?

Definitely Interfaces in the cloud is trend and reality, both for communication between people as the connection between things (systems, machinery, robots, at home, alarm centers, trains, home appliances, etc…). Obviously without neglecting the basis of non-cloud systems, making this more robust and safety standards required base.

What advice would you give to someone who is starting out as a freelance IT consultant?

Investing time and resources in constant updating, stay relevant in the market, learning new things. First you have to update the way you think. If you don’t change the way you think, you’ll get more of the same. Change what you think and you change the things you do naturally.
